He is not just another star kid with an easy come and go in the industry. Nor is he dependent on his filmy legacy for his stardom.

He is no Khan but a Roshan who shines but at the top.Hrithik acted as a child actor in several films of his grandfather’s production in the 1980s that included Asha, Bhagwaan Dada, Asas Pass, Aapke  Deewane. Hrithik’s innocent yet intense acting skills made him highly popular among youngsters. The dancing frenzy that Hrithik created was the talk everywhere. Duggu, as he is lovingly called at home, became an overnight star. His next release came the following year in the form of Karisma Kapoor starrer Khalid Mohammad’s Fiza. Karisma played the lead and Hrithik was the estranged brother. The film earned him oodles of critical acclaim for he immaculately portrayed the trauma and troubles of a family hit by the Hindu Muslim riots in 1992-93. Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Mission Kashmir followed and Hrithik’s romantic pairing with Pretty Zinta in the story of a child, whose family is destroyed by the army’s combat activity, following his cal into terrorism, was highly appreciated.
