Ajay Devgn-Tabu Starrer ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ Set for August 2 Release; CBFC Approves Two New Teasers

On the first of July, it was revealed that the highly anticipated film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, had been postponed from its original release date of Friday, July 5. The decision to delay the film’s release came at the request of exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, as announced by the makers on July 3. Now, we have the new release date for this musical love story. According to Bollywood Hungama, “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will now be released on August 2. The makers were considering the second week of July, but they ultimately settled for August 2.” The article also mentioned that August 2 was one of the dates being considered by the makers. An exhibitor commented, “August 2 is a good date. Deadpool & Wolverine releases on July 26. Two big films releasing on that day again would not have been ideal.”

Therefore, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will now have a clash with Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh and Vikrant Massey’s The Sabarmati Report.In addition, Bollywood Hungama has learned that on July 3, the makers obtained certification from the Central Board of Film Certification for two new teasers. These teasers are said to include the revised release date. One teaser has a duration of 45 seconds, while the other runs for 46 seconds. Interestingly, the former has been given a U/A certificate, while the latter has received a clean ‘U’ certificate. Apart from Ajay Devgn and Tabu, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha also features Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari.

The film is written and directed by Neeraj Pandey, with music composed by Oscar-winning composer M M Kreem. Sources reveal that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was postponed due to the strong presence of Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. The makers of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha would have faced difficulties in securing sufficient shows if the films had released simultaneously.
