The movie Alone has created a good buzz with its trailer over the social media; however, it simply failed to translate a good collection over the box office. The movie had a dull start with the collection tolling to around 5 crores on the first day. Similar figures were seen the following two days. The first weekend box office collection for Alone tolled to around 14 crores, which is not a par figure for the Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover movie over the box office. Though the script and story line of the film remained different, which was competent enough to draw the attention of audience and critics but it failed to garner that buzz over the box office.
Also, there were other movies hitting the same day of different genre including the satire called Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene along with the family comedy called Crazy Cukkad Family. Also, the Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer movie PK too were seen running in different screens, which put an impact over the business of Alone. Only the single screens were seen doing better as compared to the multiplexes, which remained very much low over the first weekend giving such a low figure for the dusky beauty starrer movie called Alone.
