For Amitabh Bachchan it was indeed a proud moment for him and family as he received one of the most prestigious awards from the Indian President, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. He was there with his family to attend the function and receive the award, which included his son, daughter and his daughter in law. The other person w ho received Padma Bhushan along with Big B is Jahnu Barua. Big B has given one of the best movies to Bollywood, which include Sholay, Don, Deewar, Black and Paa. Earlier he has received Padma Shri in 1984 while Padma Bhushan in 2001. His last movie was Shamitabh, while upcoming ones include Wazir and Piku.
His co-star in a popular movie Shakti – Dilip Kumar too has been confirmed with this prestigious award, however, due to his ill health, he was not able to make it. In fact, Big B has given his regret message on this occasion for missing the megastar on this proud moment. The Padma honours are given out in two different batches each year. This year Big B and film personalities like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Prasoon Joshi was able to get the Padma Shri awards on 30th of March.
