Catch new poster of Maatr featuring Raveena Tandon in a fierce look
Raveena Tandon is all set to stun us all in her upcoming movie Maatr. The movie is directed by Ashtar Sayyed and features Slumdog Millionaire actor Madhur Mittal as the antagonist. Raveena had spoken about the movie saying, “Maatr speaks about the system failure and what really can be done or what should be done when such violence against women happens.”
Raveena also spoke about the film shoot saying it was a trying experience. She said, “When I shot for a few scenes, I was disturbed for a week after that. We were all disturbed thinking that these kinds of horrific things can happen to a living being. We have just shown 10 percent of what a woman has to deal with when such a thing happens with her. It’s a fiction film and it is not inspired from any of the cases that have taken place.”
Maatr has been written by Michael Pellico, directed by Ashtar Sayed, and produced under the banners CDB Musical in association with Anjum Rizvi Film Co. It is set to release on April 31.
Raveena shared the latest poster on her social media handle. It shows a fierce close up of the lovely actress. Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has crooned a track Zindagi Ae Zindagi for the movie. “It’s an emotional track mapping Raveena’s journey as a mother for the film. We have decided to retain the song as it was recorded before the India, Pakistan tension began,” producer Anjum Rizvi said in a statement
