Wiki – Chitrangada is an Indian film actress who was born on 30th August 1976. She started her career in Bollywood from the movie called Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi in 2005, while her first main stream movie in B Town is Desi Boyz in 2011. As far as her early life is concerned, she comes from a Hindu Jatt family and was brought up in a city called Meerut based in Western UP. Her brother is a known golfer of India called Digivijay Singh. She was often called as Jr Smita Patil as she resembles a lot with this lady. Shekhar Kapoor even applauded her performance in her debut movie by saying that she has outdone Patil. She has gained classical dance training and even enjoys it apart from doing acting in the Bollywood movie.

Bio – In her personal life, she has gone through a rough path in her married life. She was married to Jyoti Singh Randhawa from whom he has a son called Zorawar Randhawa. Jyoti was among the top 100 golfers of the world, hence Chitrangada after her marriage couldn’t do much of her Bollywood movies. However, her marriage didn’t work out and she got separated in 2013 and then the formal divorce was announced just recently in April 2014. Now, she has the custody of her son for being so young. As far her as her career is concerned, she did modeling in Delhi before entering the silver screen. The seeds of modeling were sown when she was doing her college and soon after her education, she formally entered in modeling world wherein she got the chance to do ads like ICICI bank and Alukkas Jewellery and then finally she shifted to music videos wherein she was seen playing performing in album of Gulzar called Sunset Point.

During her presence in music video of singer Abhijeet, she was finally spotted by the production manager of Sudhir Mishra, which finally led to the movie called Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2003. Her character was applauded far and wide with even the Washington Post even appreciating her performance and character as decent and dignified. She was later seen in a movie called Kal – Yesterday and Tomorrow, while appeared in Joker as an item girl. She was even seen lending her voice to score over the movie. She was on a break from 2005 to 2008 and did a comeback role in the movie called Sorry Bhai, which proved out to be disastrous over box office owing to the terror attack in Bombay.

However, her next movie Yeh Saali Zindagi coming in 2011 had seen her in the character of an aspiring singer from Delhi who shifts to Bombay in order to get the money and fame. She then was seen in the movie called Desi Boyz in 2011 in opposite to Akshay Kumar along with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Apart from acting, she has a number of endorsement wherein she has been the brand ambassador for brands like Borges Olive Oil, Airtel, Puma, Parachute, Aliva Crackers, Garnier, Joyalukkas Jewellers and Taj Mahal. She was even seen unveiling the new collection from Tanishq on 13^th October 2010. Her recent movie was I, Me Aur Main, which she did with John and Prachi Desai.
