Dulquer Salmaan is an actor who often is seen in Kollywood movies. He was born on 28th July 1986 and is popularly known as the DQ in the Indian film industry. He is the son of a known actor Mammootty, Salmaan who did his graduation in Business Management from the reputed Purdue University, and later worked on the position of business manager before he chose to start his career in acting. He started his career in acting with action drama movie called Second Show and for which he bagged the Filmfare Award for the Best Male Debut. He bagged the nominations as well for the film like Ustad Hostel in 2012 along with getting the success for his film Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi the next year.
He then was appeared in the Tamil romantic comedy film called Vaayai Moodi Pesavum released in the year 2014. He was seen followed it by simply starring in the ensemble romantic drama film called Bangalore Days released the same year. The film was ranked among the highest-grossing Malayalam movies. He was seen achieving the further success in the Tamil cinema with the film by Mani Ratnam, which was critically and commercially successful romance film called O Kadhal Kanmani (2014). Salmaan was then seen garnering acclaim for showcasing the title role in the 2015 romantic drama called Charlie that has given him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor.

His debut film came with actors like Irrfan Khan, Mithila Palkar and Kriti Kharbanda and the said movie is all set to hit the theatres on 1 June 2018. Talking about his personal life, he is married to Amal Sufiya who is an architect and the couple has a daughter.
