Brahmastra Part 2 is already in the news even before the release of Part 1 which stars Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together. Rumours are circulating that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will join the cast as the second lead along with the Part One duo.
According to Bollywood Hungama, a source said: “No doubt, it will be a casting coup if Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone are in one film! However, it will be important to maintain that each has integral parts.
“As for their roles, Ranbir and Alia will be seen as their respective characters from Part 1, and will have stories that run parallel to each other.”
As per the portal, the source also stated that filmmaker Ayan Mukherji is creating a huge ticket franchise that will be linked to each other, and actors will be seen playing cameos at the end of the film, just like you see in Marvel movies.
In the upcoming movie, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni will be seen with Alia Bhatt.
A backstory video of Brahmastra with a nationalist pitch was revealed by Ayan Mukherji recently. He shared the inspiration behind making this movie in this special video. In the video, Ayan said that the seeds of Brahmastra had been sown in his subconscious mind since childhood. He revealed that his father used to narrate mythological stories to him. According to him, Indian philosophy has an impact on everyone in the nation in some or another way.
When he entered his teenage years, Ayan got exposure to the world of western fantasy stories like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Lord of the Rings.’ As a young filmmaker, he later found how western movies were using important technologies to do something different on big screens.
The shade of all these things that impacted me came at once, forming an original story of ‘Brahmastra’. Ayan has also worked on popular projects with Ranbir Kapoor like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Wake Up Sid’. He proudly calls the upcoming movie his labour of love.
