Bio – Jay Bhanushali, is an Indian TV and movie actor who was born in the year 1984 on 25th of December. He is best known for playing a role of Neev in the soap of Ekta Kapur and also the mainhost of the reality dance program called Dance India Dance. He is also known for his dancing skills and has participated in programs like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 2 and Nach Baliye 5. Though he has not done many films since is more focused in TV career, hence there aren’t many roles including two small roles in movies like Hate Love Story 2 while the other Desi Kattey is announced. He is married to Mahii Vij who participated in the dance show of Nach Baliye 5.
Talking about the early career, Jay was first noticed over the show Dhoom Machao Dhoom by Disney India. The charming, talented and sweet actor has already carved his niche over the TV industry with his good acting skills and has been appearing in a number of Television serials. These include Kayamath, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi in 2011 and Kairee…Rishta Khatta Meetha in 2012. Initially he tried his luck in modelling getting a couple of TV commercials including Pepsi, Lays, Motorola and Rediffmail.com.
Digging deep into the TV acting career, he was noticed in one of the ads by Ekta Kapoor who finally called her for a screen test, which even followed a mock shoot. After giving his tests for two hours, he could manage to impress Ekta and her team to finally get the lead role in her TV serial called Kayamath. This gave him quick fame and popularity in the TV world. According to him, the role of Neev he played in the said TV serials perfectly to his own personality, which made things simple for him to act. His incredible screen presence, nice smile, attitude and style were showcased the best in different types of scenes he did in the serial.
Jay Bhanushali was awesome in participating a number of reality shows particularly the dance shows wherein he was soon recognised for having good dancing skills. He even won Nach Baliye 5 title and was the runner up in Jhalak Dikhla Ja 2. He has hosted a number of reality shows including Dance India Dance 1, Dance Ke Superkids, Meethi Choori No. 1, to name a few. As far as his achievements are concerned, he was given the Best Debut Actor award at ITA, he also bagged the Best TV personality award at New Talent Awards and Best Supporting Actor award at the Indian Telly Awards.
