The much hyped film Jazbaa failed to perform better over the box office. The reasons were obvious, the average performance of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which was blown out of proportion failed to get the kind of expected heed it expected from the audience. As per reports, the very first day the occupancy tolled to around 3- to 40 percent, which slightly went up the following day reaching to 5.49 and similar sort of figures were registered the next day. Hence after the end of first weekend, the collection of the film wasn’t that rosy, which the filmmaker were seen projecting.
As per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection tolled to around 15 crores, which is certainly the unexpected figure for a much hyped movie. Despite having loads of hype for the comeback of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the film failed to get the right response over the box office. Sunday witnessed the same figure as the South Africa Vs India match dominated among the audience who preferred to catch the cricket rather than the movie of Sanjay Gupta. In other words, Aish comeback movie had a low start despite all hype and solo release.
