Review

As you check the prequel and sequel, there is a huge difference between the two are the two are poles apart. At one end you find a lady with revenge in her mind to finish her enemies who were behind the murder of her husband and her child and now we have a lady who is a criminal who has kidnapped and murdered someone and happens to be a most wanted criminal of the town. She is leading her life with a new name in a slow and dying place simply to hide her identity. Thus with a lost connection between the two film begins with a new thrill but soon suffers with breaking of sequences at one confusing the audience at some other point of time becoming predictable at the other end. In other words, the thrill or mystery elements become predictable that really hampers the feature of the movie. There are some other flaws as well, which defines the way the character was designed which is basically grey but it has all the elements of white in it that mars the entertainment value. In a sense the film has lost the gleam, which could be due to the missing links that hampers the show.

Star Performance

Let’s start with Vidya Balan, she is exceptionally talented and similar is the story with her performance. Once again Vidya has nailed the character which defines her as one of the best and stellar performer over the silver screen. She has come a long way to play one of the best performance over the silver screen for a movie which she loved a lot. Now, talking about Arjun Rampal, his performance in the role of a police officer is decent but not that par as expected in the film. The others too played a decent role in the movie, as they too have helped the film to gain a better entertainment value with their performances.

Direction, Music, and other elements

The direction is good but there seems to some flaws, which may appear trivial yet has hampered the entertainment value of the film. Unlike the prequel, the film somewhere breaks down yet manages to stands up thanks to the stellar performance of the lady Vidya in the character of a fugitive lady who happens to be a murderer. Well, talking about the music, its soothing to a great extent and similar is the case with some of its tracks that really touches the soul and heart of the listener. The other elements like screenplay, editing and other technical elements seemed okay and in a way have helped to boost the entertainment value of the film.

Kahaani 2 The Last Word

The film Kahaani 2 has a decent story backed with rich content that can be hard to get with such a stellar performance. This is the reason why more and more applauds seems to have come for the film as the people realize that it was Vidya only who can make the difference. Well, it is a worthy watch for the fans of Vidya Balan and also for others considering catching up some real time thrill in the movie.
