Kangana Ranaut looks elegant as Rani Lakshmibai in ‘Manikarnika’

 The talented Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has captivated the viewers with her excellent acting skills and the way she pulls off her roles in the film. Kangana has always gained praises for this and her films perform great at the box-office. Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in upcoming movie ‘Manikarnika’, which is a film based on the iconic queen of Jhansi, Rani Lakshmibai. The maiden name of Rani Lakshmibai was Manikarnika and she was born to a Brahmin family in Varanasi.

Here are some stills from the film ‘Manikarnika’ that show Kangana in her elegant look as Rani Lakshmibai. The team of the film was shooting in Jaipur. Dressed in pristine white regal costume and a golden turban, she looks regal and a sword in her hands completes her look in a spectacular way. She redefines royalty with her decked-up look and has proved her versatility by carrying sword like a true warrior. Kangana prepared herself for this role by taking training for sword fighting and horse riding. Kangana commenced filming for this film in Jaipur from October 24.

Talking about this, Kangana said “I’m so blessed to be here. With the blessings of Lord Shiva, we have launched it here. After coming on board for this project, I feel like I’ve achieved something very big in my life.” The movie will showcase unexplored side of Kangana as she is nailing this look with splendour. The war scenes will be the highlight of this venture.

Shweta Tripathi also features in the film and she plays the role of a loyal warrior, Kashibai. The film ‘Manikarnika’ is directed by Vijayendra Prasad and also stars Sonu Sood, Ankita Lokhande and Vaibhav Tatwawadi. Ankita Lokhande will essay the role of Jhalkari Bai from Rani Lakshmibai’s army and she fought against the British. ‘Manikarnika’ releases on April 27, 2018.
