Salman Khan convicted in Hit and Run Case

Finally the Mumbai sessions court  found the actor Salman Khan guilty for his infamous hit-and-run crash case killing one and injuring four in 2002 while drinking and driving his car. The actor was accused of running his SUV over five pavement dwellers who were sleeping on the foot path outside a known bakery based in Bandra by his SUV (white Toyota Land Cruiser) in the wee hours of September 28, 2002. He was found under the great influence of alcohol. On the social media especially on Twitter the #WeLoveYouSalmanKhan and #SalmanVerdict were seen trending a lot hours before the verdict. The relatives and friends like Shah Rukh Khan, visited the actor Khan on Tuesday night.

As per reports, the actor has been sitting on more than 200 crore projects for six different films to be released in the next two years, which he need to complete, however, with the guilty, things would haywire for the filmmakers who invested loads of money on him.  D W Deshpande the Sessions judge was the man who pronounced this judgement in the tight security around the court wherein loads of people like lawyers, media and others were present in the court. The prosecution was successful in presenting the case with utter confidence and loads of evidence, which led the actor guilty.

After 13 long years, the court was able to finally give its verdict sentencing the actor 12 years of imprisonment. The case went drastic roller coaster ride with many things happening. However, against all the strong evidence against the actor as presented by the prosecution, the court had no option but to pronounce the actor guilty. He started his career with Maine Pyar Kiya in the eighties doing more than 100 movies. He is also facing another case in the form of black buck killing and having illegal arms without any licences.
