The newbie phenomenon in 2014 Bollywood industry

aaj tak bollywood newbie

The year 2014 simply embarked with a new mood and spirit. You had a number of movies coming, right from Gunday , Highway to Ek Villian, which has one thing in common. Well, do you know the common factors; all are being dominated by the newbie actors in the industry. Right from Arjun Kapoor to Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra, all of these actors are new as compared to many seasoned actors who were still to appear on screen except Salman, Vidya Balan and Riteish Deshmukh. In other words, you can find a whole new order of fresh and inexperienced actors who carve their niche with utter performance and professionalism impressing both the stakeholders and audience of the 2014 B Town movies.

The newbie phenomenon

Getting a flying start of the movie called Ek Villain; you can find some of the newbie team workers making all wonders in the movie world. Right from the actors to director, you have hordes of other important portfolios found in the B Town in the year 2014, which makes the difference. The fact is the movies of 2014 working in different movies have garnered a good acclaim having the band of new actors and even directors. Right from Gunday wherein you have Arjun Kapoor doing all the right stuff to Alia Bhatt in movie like Highway, Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra in Hasee to Phasee, Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D’cruz in Mai Tera Hero, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in 2 States, Tiger Shroff and Kirti Sannon in Heropanti, Rajkumar Rao in Cittylights, Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra in Ek Villain, etc. All these movies take the B Town movies in a different direction.

Fresh talents tread the inexpensive path

One of the best benefits for choosing the fresh talents is that it gives the hapless producers and directors inexpensive solutions for their movie production projects. This way, they get both creative talents at one of the most affordable prices without having the availability issues unlike experienced the big stars. The wholehearted support the fresh talents are getting in their movies is incredible feat in itself. Just take an example of the movie – 2 States having both the lead characters as the novices (Alia and Arjun) seems to have overtaken Jai Ho and Holiday, which are the movies of greater star value. Similarly, Ek Villain is on the verge of entering the 100 crore club in less than two weeks.

Young talents joining B Town an old trend

The younger and fresh talent joining the B Town workforce doesn’t seem to be a newer phenomenon. In the recent past decades, similar trend was witnessed when sons from the star in the late 90’s and in 2000 were seen hitting the B town. However, in late 80’s Aamir and Salman entered in the movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Maine Pyar Kiya respectively, which really banged the world. Even Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan too were found in the same camp. In the past few years too, you saw sons and daughters making the entry. The leading female character was limited in Tinsel Town.

The current year comes with a difference

This year you not only find actors joining the row but also directors and other key players in the industry are seen entering the B Town with a big bang. Consider the example of Mohit Suri the young Aashiqui 2 director who has proved out his mark to be an ace director of Ek Villain. Interestingly, you can even find bigger banners like Yash Raj Films and others similar brands in the Bollywood are seen hiring new and fresh talents as compared to the seasoned actors and branded stars in this world. Hence you can see these filmmakers relying on fresh talents like Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Shraddha Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, etc. Whereas Dharma productions are seen hiring talents like Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, while Vishesh Films too is catching up the same trend.

Things turning better with these options

The experienced and powerful filmmakers and the godfather image like stars are seen putting right cherries on the cake to see things happening in their filmmaking business. This has eventually helped in making things better in terms of film production. Like for example, Salman had a couple of new and fresh names to introduce like Sonakshi, Daisy Shah, Pulkit Samrat and Suraj Pancholi in the film world. Similarly, Akshay Kumar who was the producer of the movie called Fugly was seen bringing a bandwagon of different fresh faces like Mohit Marwah, boxer Vijender Singh and Kiara Advani. Also, in his forthcoming movie Singh is Bling you have a new face called Kirti Sannon. Similarly Saif also has brought new names in the film world, which include Diana Penty in Cocktail, his wife’s cousin Arman Jain is now seen in Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, and Deeksha Seth. Similarly, Aamir Khan too is seen launching Prateik Babbar and Imran in the movie world.

Wrapping up

The result is too obvious and bold, which can be seen and heard everywhere and by everyone. You have bunch of new actors, directors and writers, which have embarked in the B Town with cutting edge. Though not too many old and branded stars are seen in 2014 movies yet the fresh talent is somewhere the gift of these people only. Now, you have the old order making newer ways with the fresh talents in the industry making the industry innovative and competitive.
