It is obvious to see people being critical to Bollywood movies thanks for their weird item numbers, unrealistic romantic stories, the chiffon saris amidst the snow and the list goes on. However, the idea of dealing with some thought provoking issues is often laudable. With movies like Taare Zameen Par, Black, 3 Idiots, and Dangal it deserves to be applauded for making good movies with a message. And same goes with the upcoming movie of Akshay Kumar called PadMan. The film deals with mensuration hygiene, which still remains a taboo issue in Indian society. Most of the ladies still do not want to talk about this in public domain but with PadMan coming into the screen next month, things would turn conducive for such issues.

The story inspired by a real story of a high school dropout called Arunachalam Muruganantham, who revolutionized the idea of offering the women an affordable. This role is played by Akshay Kumar who used certain unconventional methods to make people understand about handling this issue apart from making the world understand the usage and benefits of relying on sanitary napkins. The fact that Indian rural areas are still lagging behind in terms of understanding the best ways to tackle this taboo issue. In a sense, this film prove beneficial in making them understand the nitty-gritty of this issue in a big way.

Not only the film is known to have an inspiring story and will educate more and more people about menstrual hygiene, which can be called as the commendable act for bringing out over the silver screen. For the men who still feel that it is a taboo issue to be discussed in the film, should help their ladies fix these issues with ease. So, instead of worrying and raising eye brows about the movie, one should applaud the initiative and should be treating this step as a stepping-stone.
