Had Sultan Starring Salman Khan and Raees Starring Shah Rukh Khan classed at the Box Office this coming Eid, the B Town would have witnessed one of the biggest and the fiercest kind of BO war ever. But thankfully, things have changed with the recent average performance of SRK film Fan in domestic market. However, as SRK and his team decided to postpone the film, he had little options in the remaining dates of this year thanks to all the A listed film that have blocked their dates during all the days.
As we look at this year, one can find a couple of movies releasing this year, which include the Roustom starring Akki is releasing this Independence Day, while Ajay Devgan debut directed venture called Shivay will be releasing this Diwali and Aamir Khan as always has blocked the dates of Christmas this year. So, virtually the year 2016 it tight with a couple of important releases this year with all the festive time being blocked with big releases.
The SRK starrer film Raees will mark the launch of a Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan from B Town who is doing her debut in Bollywood movies. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their production companies Red Chillies and Excel Entertainment. The two groups have therefore given a press release about the film postponing it to 26th January 2017 since the film of such magnitude simply needs a special release time unlike the one decided for it.
