A lot of news updates are making rounds about Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie with the filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. It’s said to be a fantasy drama and tentatively it was titled ‘Dragon’. However, the film has finally received its official title and it’s ‘Brahmastra’. Ranbir Kapoor shares the screen with Alia Bhatt in this flick. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a superhero, who can throw fire through his hands in this film.
The filmmaker Karan Johar tweeted about this news update. The megastar Amitabh Bachchan also essays the lead role in the film ‘Brahmastra’, reportedly. At the MAMI Movie Mela, Johar hinted at Senior Bachchan as the part of the lead cast of this venture when in conversation with Ranbir and Alia. He also announced that this movie will not be titled ‘Dragon’ and the real title will be out soon. Apart from this, Karan Johar also joined hands with Akshay Kumar for the film ‘Kesari’ based on ‘The Battle of Saragarhi’, which is one of the bravest battles fought in India. This outing will be helmed by Anurag Singh and will release on Holi 2019. The buzz revealed that Ajay Devgn is coming up with a flick based on the similar subject.
At the same event, the director Ayan Mukerji stated that the shooting for this film may kick start in the early 2018. As per the buzz, the movie ‘Brahmastra’ will be a trilogy and the makers have also finalised its release date. This fantasy adventure will be out on August 15, 2019.
Talking about Ranbir Kapoor’s role in the film ‘Brahmastra’, the director Mukerji said that the actor has to take training in martial arts and gymnastics as the film has lot of action, fighting, horse-riding and much more. Romance has a new flavour in this film, added Mukerji.
