Ranveer Singh bags another Historical : Check details

takht movie

As we see Ranveer Singh waiting for his next venture Simmba to release this Friday, there is some news about his next venture. As per reports, he has bagged another historical film called Thakht. The historical film is produced by Karan Johar and ever since the filmmaker has Johar announced the film, it has been the talk of the town. The historical epic is undoubtedly one of the most awaited movies in B Town. The director has an ensemble cast in the movie, which includes Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Janhni Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ranveer Singh. The film will hit the floor next year, but it has a decent buzz, which is increasing with the passing day.

Today, we see the makers not releasing much about their forthcoming venture, and similar is the story with Thakt. Not much is known about it; however, the actors of the film have confirmed about their presence in the film. As per a report, Ranveer Singh would be playing Dara Shikoh. Ranveer has played Alauddin Khilji in his last movie with Deepika Padukone called Padmaavat. When asked about how he feels about playing such roles, he said it was scary for him to do the historical films like Padmaavat with roles like Alauddin Khilji. He said that since he is just the opposite of this role, hence it scared him in the public.

Talking about the other roles in the film Thakt, Vicky Kaushal would be playing the role of Mughal King Aurangzeb, and Ranveer will be playing the role of his brother in it. On the other side, there are rumours that suggest that Kareena Kapoor Khan would be playing the role of Jahanara, who happened to be the sister of Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh. Talking about the film Thakt, Karan Johar informed that the film is more like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. It has a family, but it is more extreme than K3G and has more deceit and drama in it to see. Also, the audience would be able to see court politics and troops in the war. The texture of the film will be rich.
