Bio – Rishi Kapoor is a known Indian Bollywood actor, producer and director. He comes from a hardcore film background, which has given break in Indian movies since his childhood. In fact, his debut role acting a child artist has led National award, while the Filmfare Best Actor award and also his movie called Bobby in the year 1974. He was born and brought up South Mumbai to the infamous Bollywood director called Raj Kapoor. His schooling was completed from the school called Campion School Bombay, while he graduated from Mayo College, Ajmer. His brothers Rajiv and Randhir both are also known actors in the Hindi Cinema.

His journey in acting in movies commenced long back in the year 1971 wherein he was seen playing as a child actor in his own father’s movie- Mer Naam Joker for which he was awarded as national award. However, his debut movie is with Dimple Kapadia called Bobby, which appeared in the year 1973. This gave him a romantic love story based movie king. Thus you can see him in this role in not less than 92 films, which kept on coming during the time span of 1973 and 2000. In the slot of 1970 to 1979, some of his important movies including Khel Khel Mein, Rafu Chakkar, Kabhi Kabhi, Amar Akbar Anthony, Duniya Meri Jeb me, etc.

Similarly, in the age group of 1980 to 2000, some of his key movies included Karz, Prem Rog, Nagina, Henna, Banjaran, Honeymoon, Sagar, Badalte Rishte, Karobaar, Damini Lighting, Gurudev, Daraar, Ajooba, Chandani, Gurudev, etc. As a director, his first movie was Aa Ab Laut Chalen, while his last movie as a Romantic Hero was Karobar, which finally appeared in the year 2000. Then the next slot of 2001 till date has a couple of other movies, wherein worked in a different role and some of the hits included Yeh Hai Jalwa, Hum Tum, Fanaa, Namastey London, Love Aaj Kal, Patiala House, etc.

He was also seen in the British movie called Don’t Stop Dreaming in the year 2007 and Sambar Salsa in the year 2008. His pair with Neetu Singh was a big hit since his early days, which could also been in the movies like Do Doonu Chaar and Besharam, which appeared in 2010 and 2013 respectively. The movie called Prem Granth was produced by the three Kapoor brothers called Rishi, Rajiv and Randhir Kapoor, which was directed by the latter. As far as his personal life is concerned, he is married to Neetu Singh, while the couple has two kids Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima K Sahani. The actresses including Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor are his paternal uncle.
