Plot:
The upcoming Indian romantic comedy film Shaandaar is one of the most awaited films of this year. Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be working together in the quirky film which has a fresh story. It is for the first time that the two best actors will be sharing the screen space together. They are the lead actors in the film and Pankaj Kapur and Sanjay Kapoor will be seen in supporting roles. Pankaj Kapur plays a pivitol role in the film. Shahid’s sister Sanah Kapur is doing a debut role in the film. The shooting began in August 2014.
A lot of tweets have been shared about the film by Karan, Shahid, Alia, etc. The crew seems very excited about the film. Many pictures during the shoot were shared on Instagram by the crew.
The film is directed and co produced by Vikas Bahl who helmed Queen with Kangana Ranaut and offered a great hit to the industry. Vikas Bahl is one of the best directors and got a lot of appreciation, for Queen so viewers have great expectations out of Shanndaar. One of the articles in Times of India described the film as “India’s first wedding film” and the shooting of the film is executed in Leeds. Both Karan and Alia suffer from insomnia in the film. It is their sleepless nights and quirkiness which brings the couple together.
The director is banking on his editor Anurag Kashyap who has an eye for detail and can make a film memorable. Vikas said that he is not sure how Shaandaar has shaped up and he finds more flaws with each look. Vikas has said that Anurag will sit with him during the editing and take care of the flaws so the film is made flawlessly.
The movie will be released on September 4, 2015 under the banner of Phantom films Karan Johar’s Dharma Production.
