Sunil Grover is the man known for comedy apart from acting in various TV serials and few movies. He hails from Dabwali, Sirsa a small place in Haryana. He was born and brought up that Haryana only. His schooling was from Arya Vidya Mandir, Dabwali, Haryana, while did his graduation in commerce from Guru Nanak College. His interest in acting led him to do masters in theatre from Chandigarh. He is married and leading peaceful life with no kids at the moment in Mumbai. He is known to do the roles of ladies and woman in the most funniest and humorous ways. Remember the character of Ghuthi in Comedy Nights With Kapil and Chutki in his own show called Mad in India at Star Plus. Right from his student life he was involved in acting and theatres.
He started his career in acting by working in different Theatres, later he got the chance to work with late Jaspal Bhatti in his comedy TV shows. He started his career in acting in TV with the show called Chala Lallan Hero Banne, while he was even the brand ambassador of the channel Filmy for a while on which this show was telecasted. Later he was seen in the role of host in the show like ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hain?’ and ‘Kaun Banega Champu’ , which was aired over the channel – Sahara Filmy. He was seen in India’s first silent show called ‘Gutur Gu’ aired at Sab TV. He then headed to the popular show called “Comedy Nights with Kapil” at Colors to play the role of a lady in popular role called Gutthi. Meanwhile as he was working with TV shows and few serials he got the chance to be on Radio Mirchi.
He was seen in a program called Hansi Ke Phuware over Radio Mirchi where he had the popular character called Sud or Sudarshan. He was the man who used to tell stupid jokes from his book called Hansi Ke Phuware in the funniest ways. In fact, he was even awarded for his incredible funny voice for this show for his character of Sud by RAPA (Radio and TV Practitioners Association) of India. While playing the character of Gutthi in Comedy Nights With Kapil, he soon left the show with a controversy of now allowing others to play his character in the same show. Later he played the same character with a different name called Chutki in his own show called Mad in India, which was aired at Star Plus. However, soon he has to wind up his show for poor TRPs. He is now back in Comedy Nights with Kapil with same role of Gutthi. He has worked in Bollywood movies, which included Zilla Ghaziabad and in Gabbar.
