Major’s crew is starting the film’s final schedule today. The performers rushed to social media to announce the news and share images from the flick. The team of Major has commenced the final schedule of the film shoot with Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar, after creating enormous anticipation and enthusiasm for the war drama with the teaser. The film is expected to wrap production by the end of August.
Sesh gave new peeks into the film, which explores the various parts of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s life, in the lead up to Independence Day celebrations.
Expressing his thoughts, actor Adivi Sesh says, “Major is my passion project, my journey with the film began years ago when I first witnessed the tragic incident in the news. Now as we are inching closer to wrapping the film, I am overwhelmed with mixed emotions. I am extremely grateful to the family of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan for deeming me fit to play the role of their brave son and I hope we succeed in paying a tribute to the inspirational life of our beloved martyr.”
Major, based on the life of martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, honours the army officer’s bravery by not just presenting his death in the Mumbai assaults of 26/11, but also tracking his path and embracing the spirit with which he lived.
Major scaled the various eras of Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s life, from his boyhood, adolescence, and glory years in the army, as revealed in the teaser.
Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Saiee Manjrekar star in the multilingual film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, which will be distributed in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Major will be released this year, produced by Sony Pictures Films India in collaboration with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies.
