With two movies- Rang Rasiya and The Shaukeens hitting last Friday, the former seems to have dipped down the margin, while the latter had all the reasons to rise over the Box Office. Despite the much hype owing to the long delay from Censor Board in India failed miserably over the box office. As per the reports the movie was able to make only 4 crores after the completion of first week. Despite some bold subject being dealt the bold way the movie failed to garner good response from the audience. Rang Rasiya had the sensual presence of Nananda Sen, which failed to garner any response for the movie.
Its seems that the other movie The Shaukeens starring Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon seems to have done its magic beating Rang Rasiya despite the hype it created before hitting the theatres. Rest was damaged by the SRK and Deepika Padukone movie – Happy New Year, which crossed 200 cr collections this past week. Thus Rang Rasiya that tried to sell out the nudity under the category of artistic biopic of great painter Raja Ravi Varma failed to do any magic over the box office unlike the other biopic movies helped to gain better.
